An important aspect to remember is to keep your top navigation limited to three levels. Level one is your main navigation i.e. Main Categories like “About Us” “Products” “Services” “Blog” “Careers” “Contact”. Second level covers second level pages or categories below the top level i.e. – under product you can list product categories or service categories. The third level in the drop down menu is the actual linking to the pages for example for each product.
