2 New Linux Servers added

June 10th, 2008

We’ve just added 2 new top of the line Linux servers at a new datacenter.

We are working right now to transfer some 300 websites on these servers. If your website is one of them you would have been personally informed by email / phone regarding the migration process and other server details.

While our staff works overtime to complete this migration process which we expect to be trouble free, we expect our reverred customers to be patient during this process. The whole migration process may take upto 3 days beginning monday 9th of June.

Immediate result of this transistion will be improvements in the site peformance during the next days (and hopefull that datacenter power outage that plagued the whole of last week would be a thing of the past).

Since last Saturday we are sleeping little - but no complains, we’re now geared to prepare these servers for the migration of websites. While we’re not attending complaints at this time as our staff is fully devoted to transferring the websites, please be assured we’re trying our level best to keep the downtime minmal for each of the website hosted on our network and in most cases you wont even notice any downtime at all.

We would like to thank all our clients and at the same time we appreaciate your patience and support.

Service Update: Two of our servers down due to an explosion resulting in a major power outage affecting 9000+ websites.

Two of our servers went offline at 6:00 PM EST on Saturday (May 31st, 2008) due to a major fire at our ISP. No one was hurt, no servers were lost, and NO DATA was lost. They are currently working on restoring full power to the data center. 9000 servers and countless more websites are affected by this outage.

Our main server is now back online, and running this site. Some customers may still have issues connecting to the site or receiving mail due to DNS issues related to this incident. That should be sorted out in short time.
